NOT KNOWN FACTS ABOUT BAREFOOT SHOES FOR WALKING

New to barefoot shoes. We are in Montana where by it can get to -20 or lessen. Any solutions on boots? Am I correct in wondering you'd will need the thick boot to protect from the intense cold?
